Supported the setup of a production line for thermal cameras and tank fire control systems as part of a military offset program. This included cleanroom layout, installation setup, tool and equipment implementation (including electronics production), writing procedures, training staff, leading initial production and First Article Inspections (FAIs), and ramping up to full series production.
Lean Transformation for Ariane 5 Launcher – SABCA
As Head of Production at SABCA, introduced Lean Manufacturing principles for the Ariane 5 launcher's booster and thrust vector control systems. The objective was to reduce lead time by 50% and costs by 40%. Lean was introduced in a low-rate, multi-product line environment including machining, surface treatment, assembly, and testing. Strongly involved in change management and the implementation of a new organization with visual management tools.
Composite Tail Skins for Gulfstream G650 – SABCA Limburg
As General Manager of SABCA Limburg, led the setup of a production line for composite horizontal tail skins and beams for the Gulfstream G650 business jet. Responsibilities included contract negotiations with the customer, planning and installing tools and equipment, industrialization and process qualification, prototype and part qualification, ramp-up to production, and implementation of quality improvement projects.
Flap Deployment Mechanism & Fairings for Airbus A350 – SABCA Limburg
Set up a new production line for the flap deployment mechanism and fairings for the Airbus A350. Activities included developing an investment and industrialization plan, project planning, implementation, qualification, prototyping, and production ramp-up.
Feasibility Study for eVTOL – Independent Advisory
In collaboration with Advisorate BV, performed a feasibility study for a manned electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. This involved assembling and managing an international team of experts, developing a strategic plan, coordinating and contributing to concept design, and delivering the final report.
Military Aircraft Offset Program – Industrial Scope Definition
For a military offset program, supported an investor in finalizing contract negotiations with the OEM and preparing the industrial scope of work. This included assessing the required technology versus current capabilities, setting up a business and financial model, developing an investment and development plan, and preparing and negotiating government funding applications.
